The Men's Bible Study meets at Panera Bread in San Marcos on the 2nd & 4th Saturdays. Order a coffee, breakfast (or 2nd breakfast) and join us as we study the Bible and join together in prayer for the needsof our families, church, & community.

We are currently usingCrossway's 12-week study of the Gospel of John. Grab a copy from your favorite bookstore or online retailer and read with us.

Come examine our call to Biblical worship as we read through Not Primary Colors by Dr. Jon Hager. Copies are available at GBC for donation or you can find it on Amazon. We will meet on March 5 having completed the first reading assignment. So if you plan to attend this study, please contact us for the list of reading assignments.

Have you only worshiped God in primary colors - those few attributes of His that are most comfortable for you? The whole world is full of God's glory and He wants us to see it, experience it, and live it with Him!"

The third Sunday of each month is set apart for special emphasis of the missionaries around the world whom we support. A missions report will be given during the Worship Service.

About the study
1st Samuel chronicles the beginning of Israel's monarchy, following the lives of the prophet Samuel, the ill-fated King Saul, & God's ultimate choice or David as king.

How do I apply this?
God is still sovereign in the 21st century. He will accomplish His purposes with or without our cooperation. But as was true in the lives of Samuel, Saul, & David, our response to God's call affects our outcome. Will we obey Him as Samuel & David did and live lives marked by blessing? Or will we, like Saul, try to live on our own terms? "To obey is better than sacrifice" Samuel told Saul (1 Samuel 15:22). That truth still speaks to us today.
